Case Study- Leo Lake, Walls, Interlock, Pillars

We were asked to provide a plan for the whole property in 2014. After the development of the plan we worked to develop a multi year construction schedule.

The First step was to create steps and walls at the rear of the property and an oversize Limestone flagstone walkway. The wall was essential to stabilize the bank, for this we chose Rosetta Outcropping stone from Browns Concrete https://www.brownsconcrete.com/, This was completed in 2015.

The look of Natural Stone and strength of concrete, not to mention ease of installation, made the choice of wall stone an easy choice. The steps at the rear were again Browns, we chose 4′ and 6′ wide Dimensional steps, the steps to the driveway were Random steps, again from Browns. Upper Canada Stone was the source for the Oversize flagstone

In 2017 we returned to the property to finish the area under the deck and create a parking area also under the deck, the plans called for Mega Arbel pavers from Permacon along with Lafitt tandem wall pillars also from Permacon http://permacon.ca/en. To create the parking area without excessive excavation we used “Drive Grid” from Unilock https://unilock.com/, this BiAxial geogrid allows for less base thickness without sacrificing strength. We finished the exiting 6×6 Posts with a PVC cover.
